Lemon Italian Ice

Ingredients

• 4 cups water
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest
• 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions

1. bring water to a boil in a saucepan
2. add sugar to dissolve, then allow to cool
3. stir in lemon juice and zest
4. chill mixture
5. make in an ice cream maker (way easier than traditional method)
