Dairy-Free Ice Cream

A dairy-free, but not vegan vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
- 2 cups cashew milk
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
 - 3 egg yolks
 - 1/2 cup sugar
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 
Directions
- heat cashew milk in saucepan over medium heat
 - slowly whisk sugar and salt into egg yolks in a mixing bowl
 - once milk is near boiling, temper into egg yolk mixture
 - transfer tempered egg mixture to the saucepan and bring up to 160 degrees
 - chill the custard
 - make ice cream
